Description: Senior Fest
More than 500 area seniors are expected to take part in a fun-filled special event in late October!
Senior Fest is the name of this event, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, at the Ritz Charles, 9000 W. 137th Street, Overland Park. Admission is free and participants can visit with area businesses, enjoy local entertainment, play bingo, and have a chance to win door prizes.
- Senior Fest will feature musical acts including the Strolling Strings from Shawnee Mission North High School, as well as 25 to 30 vendors.
- "This is an event for seniors to come out and meet local vendors that offer products and services of interest to seniors in our community," said 50 Plus Special Events and Travel Specialist Kari Baesel. "The goal is for seniors to have fun and meet new people. They can spend the morning listening to live entertainment, visiting with local businesses, playing bingo, and have a chance to win a door prize."
