ARTISTS:
Zack Balber - Tamim
The Hebrew word "Tamim" translates as "pure", "unblemished", and "complete". Photographer Zack Balber offers a unique, incongruous twist on Tamim's denotation in his first museum exhibition. Utilizing portrait photography, Balber reveals the camouflaged identity of some of Judaism's most unfamiliar members.
Chris Biddy - Kids
Focusing upon seemingly apthetic, angst ridden adolescents immersed within the social networking context of smart phones and digital cameras, Biddy portrays youth teetering between innocence and self-awareness - often exhibiting culpable or imprudent behaviors.
Lauren Mabry - Cylinders
Mabry employs elemental, cylindrical vessels as dimensional canvases. These minimal forms serve as perfect complements to her lush and expressive glaze compositions.
