Description: Oppenheimer Collection 20th Anniversary Gala
On Saturday, September 29, join celebration of the extraordinary 20-year commitment of Marti and Tony Oppenheimer to Johnson County College, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art and our entire community. Since, 1992, the Oppenheimers (working with Bruce Hartman, museum executive director) have gifted more than 150 major works of contemporary art to the campus/museum. Today, the Oppenheimer Collection forms the core of the museum's permanent collection. It encompasses scupltures, paintings, photographs, ceramics, works on paper, new media, textiles and jewelry.
- Museum galleries will showcase numerous - and never-before-exhibited - acquisitions.
