Overview
The Overland Park Convention & Visitors Bureau (OPCVB) is charged with the responsibility of providing convention, group meetings and tourism services to the city of Overland Park. The services and functions of the Bureau are focused on the promotion and marketing of Overland Park as a destination for conventions, meetings and tourism.
The OPCVB originated in 1983. Since that time a significant contribution has been made to the overall well-being of the community in the following areas:
• Enhancing economic diversification
• Expanding tax base
• Promoting identity and image of Overland Park
• Promoting local amenities
• Creating additional jobs
• Importing new dollars to the economy through traveler spending
The OPCVB is a non-member, not-for-profit organization that is funded by the city's hotel guest tax.
