Assistance Locating Appropriate Hotel & Meeting Facilities
Tired of playing phone tag? Let the OPCVB sales team find the perfect location for your event -- free of charge. We will check availability at Overland Park hotels/motels and alternative meeting facilities; organize proposals and arrange a site visit to familiarize you with the many accommodations, attractions and activities Overland Park has to offer. The Convention Services Department can also provide presentations and bid books about Overland Park.

Sport Tournament Housing Services
Are you seeking faster rebate payment, increased credit for rooms booked and an enhanced reservation process for teams? Well look no further! The OPCVB has teamed up with PSE Tournament Housing to provide tournament/event directors and their participants a seamless booking experience. This complimentary service includes a customized tournament registration website, rate negotiation on your behalf, rebate collection assistance, 24/7 customer service support and much more! Contact us to learn more about this new service and how it can assist in making your next sports tournament or event a huge success.
Ambassador Assistance
Successful conventions, meetings and special events begin with efficient, courteous and knowledgeable personnel who are well-trained and ready to fulfill your delegates’ needs. The OPCVB offers a complimentary ambassador program to assist with those needs. Ambassadors are available to distribute your literature and registration materials and answer questions about the area and local attractions. We request four weeks lead time to secure ambassador volunteers.
Promotional & Informational Materials
The OPCVB has many items to help familiarize both you and your attendees with our city. Promotional materials include: Overland Park Visitors Guide, attraction brochures, plastic bags for registration materials, schedules of Kansas City’s professional athletic teams, coupons, customized calendar of events, and more. The OPCVB can also assist you in designing materials as needed.
Event Microsite
To help you promote your Overland Park convention or event to attendees, the OPCVB can create a Microsite for your group. The Microsite is completely unique to your group with conference logo, dates, participating venues, event schedule, uploaded documents, special offers and more. The URL is private and can be accessed by your attendees only.
Mobile Application
We want your attendees to enjoy their time in Overland Park; so, we've designed the Overland Park mobile application (compatible for all Smartphone users). This application includes a restaurant guide, events calendar, near-me mapping, coupons, KCI flight information, local weather, important links and a scavenger hunt. Your event information can be added to a password-protected area of the app for groups, including schedules, speaker information, presentations, photo galleries and more. All of this is free to you and your attendees.
Welcome Booth
We want to welcome your group to Overland Park. By request, we can provide trained ambassadors to greet and welcome your attendees. For up to three hours at a time, an OPCVB ambassador can be stationed at a welcome booth in the lobby. They will be able to provide information about the metropolitan area including attractions, directions, and where to find the nearest pharmacy. Visitor guides, coupons, and other materials will also be available. Help us make your attendees feel welcomed to your event and to our city by requesting this free service.
Publicity
The OPCVB has a marketing communications & public relations department to assist you in publicizing your convention, meeting or special event. The OPCVB also has its own News Bureau, which serves as a vehicle for distributing press releases or media advisories before your meeting or event.
Welcome Address
Arrangements may be made through the Convention Services Department for a community dignitary to welcome your group to the area.
