The Indian Creek Trail is almost 17 miles long (about 10 miles are in OP). The Overland Park portion starts at Foxhill South Park, 109th Street and El Monte, and follows the creek south and west to Forest Creek Park, 125th Street and Pflumm Road. A connecting link continues south along Quivira Road toward the Tomahawk Creek Trail via 127th Street and Nieman Road.

What is allowed on the trail?

The trail is for bicyclists, walkers, joggers, skaters, etc. There is no speed limit. Dogs are allowed on leashes.  All types of non-motorized bicycles can be used on the trail including: tandem bikes, baby strollers and baby trailers.  Mopeds and motorcycles are not allowed.

Amenities:

The trail connects numerous parks with amenities such as ball fields, shelters, playgrounds and tennis courts. It also comes close to retail and commercial areas such as shops at 105th Street and Roe Avenue, 103rd Street and Marty Street, 119th Street and Quivira Road and Corporate Woods.

Future of the Trail:

The trail expands westward to Olathe's trail at Indian Creek Parkway and Pflumm Road. On the east the trail connects to the Leawood trail at 109th Street and El Monte. The entire length of the corridor contains approximately 2 miles within Leawood, 10 miles within Overland Park, and 5 miles to the end of the watershed within Olathe. When complete, the trail will have about 10 miles in Overland Park, from Foxhill South Park to Forest Creek Park. It continues for about five miles east into Leawood and will continue about five miles west into Olathe.
