		<description><![CDATA['Dinosaurs Unearthed

Dinosaurs Unearthed is the largest and most exciting dinosaur exhibit in the history of Kansas City with 24 full-size animatronic models, five fully-articulated skeletons (some more than 62 feet long), and nearly 40 fossil replicas which includes eight feathered fossils from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. This multi-sensory, dynamic and interactive dinosaur exhibition is both entertaining and educational showcasing recent new discoveries including evidence that many dinosaur species may have been covered in feathers!

		<description><![CDATA['American Women Rebuilding France, 1917-1924

This exhibition, organized by the Franco-American Museum, Chateau de Blerancourt, France, consists of more than 40 vintage photographs and rare silent film footage that bring to life the extraordinary work undertaken between 1917 and 1924 by 350 American women volunteers who left comfortable lives to help the war-ravaged population of France. This exhibit is supported by the Florence Gould Foundation, the Edmond J. Safra Foundation and the American Friends of Blerancourt, Inc.']]></description>

		<title>5/12/2010 - 10/13/2010 Weekly Fresh Market at Park Place</title>
		<description><![CDATA['Presented by KC Organics, our weekly Farmer's Market is back at Barkley Square and bigger and better than ever!  Come by every Wednesday this summer for the freshest ORGANIC produce, baked goods, meat, cut flowers by Flowers by Emily, and garden plants from Rosehill Gardens!  The market begins at 10AM and continues until 2PM. 

Also, bring the kiddies for Rosehill's Children's Gardening Classes and Storytime by Dede from the Learning Tree, beginning at 10AM each Wednesday in the Pavilion.  The first gardening class begins at 10AM, with Storytime at 1030AM, followed by a second gardening class at 11AM.  To reserve your spot for the class, please email info@destinationparkplace.com.  No reservation is needed for Storytime.

We'll also have regularly scheduled cooking demonstrations by different area chefs, showcasing seasonal organic produce available at our Fresh Market!

		<title>5/26/2010 - 9/29/2010 Buddie's Veterans Adaptive Golf</title>
		<description><![CDATA['This Wednesday May 26, the first Buddie's Veterans Adative Golf clinic of the new season will be held between 1:00 and 3:00pm at the driving range of the Overland Park Golf Club, 12501 Quivira Road in Overland Park, Kansas.
 
The non-profit charitable group was formed in 2007 with the cooperation of the Kansas City VA Hospital. The clinic which starts on Wednesday will run every other week throughout the Summer. All the clinics are open to all Veterans and are FREE of charge. A similar clinic which was developed in 2004, Buddie's Buddies is offered for metally and physically challenged persons, ages 6-86. Sponsor and volunteer support is always needed.

		<description><![CDATA['Santa-Cali-Gon Days

Since 1973, the event commemorates Independence, Missouri as the starting point of the great westward expansion of the United States. The three main trails to the West - the Santa Fe, California and Oregon Trails - originated from Independence. Features nine huge craft tents filled with juried arts and crafts vendors. Over 300 commercial food and game booths, of which 50 are sponsored by Independence non-profit organizations, three entertainment stages - main stage, community stage and gospel stage, a large carnival midway and an authentic 1800's trappers encampment. Takes place at Historic Independence Square, From Lexington to Truman Road, Between Osage and Main Streets.
