Meeting planners and attendees alike will fall in love with Overland Park and all that the city has to offer, just like our sales team! They’ve been at Visit Overland Park for a combined 25 years, during which time they’ve helped meeting and event planners flawlessly execute events ranging from large corporate meetings and annual awards banquets to premier tradeshows and national sports tournaments.
From helping meeting and event planners with RFP submissions to offering venue and entertainment suggestions to ensuring meetings or events proceed smoothly and without a hitch, the Visit Overland Park sales team is ready and willing to help however they can. But first, how about a quick introduction to our hardworking sales team members?
As the Destination Specialist, you can call Amy the Siri of the City. She ensures that planners and attendees have seamless events in Overland Park – making events easy and meaningful is her goal. Amy has dedicated over 15 years to the hospitality industry in a variety of roles that have given her a unique set of skills to help visitors in Overland Park. In her spare time, you can find her and her family out-and-about on the town, making memories of their own.
A lifelong Overland Park resident, Brad’s been in the hospitality industry for nearly four decades, experience that’s given him incredible industry insight and knowledge. He earned his Certified Meeting Professional designation in 2002 and, since he joined Visit Overland Park in 2006, loves showing off the city. In his free time, you’ll probably find Brad running or biking on the miles of trails that traverse Overland Park. Brad loves the opportunity to immerse himself in nature without leaving the city.
Komal joined the team in April 2016. Right away, she put her master’s degree in tourism and hospitality management to work. Originally from Tampa, FL, Komal now calls KC|OP home. Komal is our in-house vegan foodie – she can tell you the best vegan eats in the area, and all the best (and worst) coffee, too! When not hustling on behalf of her clients, you may find her slowing down at Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art in OP.
Brian was born & raised in this region – he left for a short time for college in Texas, but we forgive him. Brian is the face behind our growing housing services. He enjoys the challenge of finding the perfect accommodations for thousands of people as if each was his own family member. Outside the office, you will find Brian spending time with his wife & daughter, fishing with his dad, seeking out the best cuisine in OP, and cheering on his favorite teams. If you want to make a fast friend in Brian, greet him with “Let’s go Royals!” “CHIEFS!” or, “Rock Chalk Jayhawk!”
As Senior Administrative Assistant, Toshia supports our sales & services team. Toshia joined the team in 2019 and didn’t waste any time getting to know KC|OP. Originally from Georgia, she moved here from Manhattan, KS (Go Cats!). She spends her free time wrangling her dogs Seamus & Baxter, going to movies with her husband and discovering the best brunch spots with her best friend. Her current favorite? The Brass Onion in Prairiefire.
