A lifelong Overland Park resident, Brad’s been in the hospitality industry for nearly four decades, experience that’s given him incredible industry insight and knowledge. He earned his Certified Meeting Professional designation in 2002 and, since he joined Visit Overland Park in 2006, loves showing off the city. In his free time, you’ll probably find Brad running or biking on the miles of trails that traverse Overland Park. Brad loves the opportunity to immerse himself in nature without leaving the city.
While an undergraduate at the University of South Florida, Komal spent time planning large-scale volunteer events, an interest that soon blossomed into a full-time career. Komal has a Master’s degree in tourism and hospitality from the University of Central Florida, along with past experience as a supplier for convention and expo production, as well as hotel sales. In Komal’s free time, you can typically find her exploring downtown Overland Park, especially on farmers market Saturdays!
A native New Yorker, Mindy began her hospitality career at the Hotel Thayer at West Point. Mindy later relocated to the Midwest, along with her husband, Todd, and their two daughters, Emily and Makayla, and spent eight years at a local hotel management company before joining Visit Overland Park in 2003. If you spend time at Top Golf, you might bump into Mindy—she loves to sit on the patio with a cold beverage before teeing off and enjoying an evening with friends.
As the Destination Specialist, you can call Amy the Siri of the City. She ensures that planners and attendees have seamless events in Overland Park – making events easy and meaningful is her goal. Amy has dedicated over 15 years to the hospitality industry in a variety of roles that have given her a unique set of skills to help visitors in Overland Park. In her spare time, you can find her and her family out-and-about on the town, making memories of their own.
