Ask a Hotelier - Kevin Miller

Hoteliers know a thing or two about the best things to do in Overland Park. We asked Kevin Miller, the Director of Operations at the Sheraton Overland Park what he recommends to guests looking for a great visit in Overland Park and the KC Metro.

Q - Where Should We Eat?

A - I would recommend McLain’s Market .  They have amazing pastries and great breakfast sandwiches.

Q – Where Should We Shop?

A - Scheel’s is a great experience.  Although sports focused, they have something for everyone and top-notch guest service. They have great fudge and ice cream too.

Q – Where Is a Great Place for Entertainment?

A - Prairiefire. Great restaurants, boutique shops, a movie theatre, and bowling all in one stop.

Q - What question do you get asked the most?

A - Where’s the best BBQ?  My favorite in OP is Q39.

Q - What is one insider tip you always give to people visiting Overland Park?

A - There is something for everyone and you can keep busy for a while. Arthur Bryant’s, one of the founding fathers of KC BBQ is a BBQ must in KC, and shopping in Country Club Plaza, the WWI museum, and the streetcar are definitely highlights in the metro.
