We’ve got some fresh faces to Overland Park’s restaurant scene. Ice-cream, Cajun, Fajitas, Sushi, and protein bowls. Dine out or dine in at these new hot spots to grab a bite.
At The Golden Scoop, the employees are called Super Scoopers. The Super Scoopers are individuals with developmental disabilities, and the meaningful employment for them is changing lives. You can find delicious ice cream made from scratch or warm up with their signature KC coffee blend and know you are supporting a non-profit with a great cause.
Hook & Reel
Hook & Reel brings the Southern-style backyard seafood boil to KCOP. The “eat-with-your-hands” Cajun food is steamy and as spicey as you like. Head to Hook & Reel for boils, po'boys, and a raw bar, with a down-home feel.
Protein House is a fast-casual restaurant where health is a priority. Their healthy, fit kitchen has amazing smoothies, cold-pressed juice, coffee, protein bowls, wraps, salads, and burgers, and they taste just as good as they make you feel. They even serve breakfast, and trust me, the protein pancakes will fill you up!
Love fajitas? Tex Mex love is alive at Fajita Pete’s. A delivery-focused Mexican restaurant, with all the classics. Try their fajita’s (seriously, it’s in their name) and margaritas to go. (hooray!)
Strang Hall’s newest restaurant, Tora Zushi, serves Japanese cuisine from traditional to fierce. Tora means tiger in Japanese and was the nickname given to Chef Brett by his sushi master. Take a roll and a tea to Strang Hall’s backyard to pair your sushi with yard games and sunlight.
