They say you can never have too much barbecue, and turns out, it’s true. What started less than ten years ago as a highly successful competitive barbecue team is bringing their third restaurant in the metro to Overland Park. While Plowboys may be known for their BBQ nachos, they also have some of the best burnt ends in town. Plan your visit, because Plowboys is now open.
Liberty Bell 7 & Apollo Redux
These new exhibits found at the Museum at Prairiefire, which are now open, focus on the history of space exploration. The Liberty Bell 7, which was on the floor of the Atlantic Ocean for 38 years, was recovered and acts as the foundation of this exhibit showing what the first American astronauts had to go through to prepare for space travel. The Apollo Redux exhibit lets you sit behind the authentic controls from Johnson Space Center, which helped put a man on the moon. This is an immersive experience showing the responsibilities for Mission Control.
