We're officially in the holiday season where it's time to get warm and cozy and there's no better place for that than our kitchens!
Today we're making the ultimate wintertime comfort treat- Northern European Kringles. Kringles are a sweet pastry made of layers of flaky, buttery dough, with a filling and toppings in a wide variety of flavors.
These beautiful Scandinavian-style pastries have become popular in the United States especially during the holidays.
Chef Laura Thomsen will be teaching you one of her favorite Kringle recipes and then you'll try your hand at making them. We're guiding you through the dough-making, rolling-out and filling of kringle strips.
Everyone will make one apple cinnamon kringle strip and select one other fruit filling variety. We will send you home with ready-to-bake kringle strips.
During class, Chef Laura will keep you fed with an authentic Smorgasboard of flatbreads, Havarti, pickled herring, and a petite relish tray, followed by a tasting of Kringles, of course.
