The trip will serve as a platform for community leaders and city officials to discuss and strategize around key challenges, including community expectations, government scrutiny, funding, and long-term sustainability.

The goal is to gain perspective from these two comparable yet aspirational destinations and learn how they have successfully grown their visitor economies as well as attract further tourism infrastructure development.

8:15 am: Arrive in Austin

9:00 am: Arrive at Round Rock Multipurpose Complex

9:30 am: Tour of Complex

10:00 am: Presentation by Go Round Rock and City of Round Rock. Mayor and City Manager

11:15 am: Discussion on pricing and scheduling methodology led by Go Round Rock and City of Round Rock

- Lunch and tour of downtown Round Rock

2:00 pm: Depart via private motor coach to Frisco, Texas

- John David, President and CEO of the Sports Events & Tourism Association, to lead conversation on best practices of destinations engaged in sports tourism

5:00 pm: Arrive at Omni Hotel Frisco at the Star

- Dinner

8:00 am: Breakfast

9:00 am: Depart for Visit Frisco offices

9:15 am: Welcome by Visit Frisco

- Presentations by Visit Frisco and the City of Frisco

- Presentation on Frisco’s TBID by Visit Frisco and The City of Frisco

12:00 pm: Lunch

- Tour Toyota Stadium complex with Visit Frisco leadership

- Tour Frisco Rail District

- Tour Kaleidoscope Park

- Tour Convention Center and Riders Field

- Tour Ford Center at the Star

4:00 pm: Return to Omni Frisco at the Star

6:00 pm: Depart for cocktails and dinner at the Omni PGA Resort Frisco

- Learn how Frisco helped bring the PGA to Frisco and create this resort development.

9:00 pm: Return to Omni Frisco at the Star

9:00 am: Depart Omni Frisco Resort for Dallas Love Field

11:10 am: Depart Love Filed Via Southwest Airlines, Arrive KCI 12:30 pm
