College Baseball Hall of Fame

For the first time in the College Baseball Foundation’s (CBF) history, its annual recognition of college baseball’s top athletes - the Night of Champions - will be held in Overland Park, Kansas, presented by Prairiefire and hosted by Visit Overland Park. The evening will feature the induction of the 2023 College Baseball Hall of Fame class. This 16th induction class is comprised of players, coaches, umpires and administrators – all who have contributed to college baseball history at the NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA levels.

"College baseball is much more than stats and winning, it's where you see the love of the game played by the world's elite amateur players," said Warren R. Wilkinson, President, Visit Overland Park. "Baseball culture is deeply rooted in Overland Park, Kansas, evident by the scores of diamonds that grace the city and the thousands of children through to adults that play America's national pastime. Serving as this year's host to the Night of Champions is an honor, and Overland Park looks forward to celebrating this year's college baseball's greatest players and teams."

Former Kansas City Royal, Alex Gordon, is one of the 12 inductees to the College Baseball Hall of Fame’s class of 2023. Gordon is a three-time MLB All-Star, World Series Champion, and recipient of the Brooks Wallace Award during his tenure at the University of Nebraska. Other notable figures, such as C.J. Mitchell, the pioneering black college umpire in the Pac-12 conference and one of the first three black umpires for the College World Series, will also be honored.
