Roar in the new year at the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium! This year, they're kicking off the party early with a countdown to noon! To celebrate Zoo Year's Eve, a few of the animals will even be receiving special themed enrichment. This event is free with admission, which costs between $19 and $22.
Ring in 2025 EARLY at D&B!
Tuesday, December 31 | 4PM - 7PM
You don't need to wait until midnight to ring in the new year! Celebrate early at Dave & Buster's and get the kids to bed on time. Tickets to the event are $43.78/each and includes: NYE hats and noisemakers, a ginger ale toast, a full buffet of kid-friendly snacks, a $20 power card, unlimited video game play, and more.
Noon Year's Eve at Science City
Tuesday, December 31 | 12PM - 6:30PM
Throughout December 31, Science City is hosting their Noon Year's Eve extravaganza! The schedule is packed with exciting crafts and events, such as making your own headbands, dream catchers and spin drums. There will also be races, board games, face painting, a magician, live music and a science show! The day will end with a Balloon Bash & Balloon Drop at 6PM. This event is free with admission which is $16.50 per person.
Wonder Eve at Wonderscope Children's Museum
Tuesday, December 31 | 9AM - 12PM
What better way to ring in the NOON year than with crafts, face painting, balloon artists and a confetti celebration!? Wonder Eve at Wonderscope Children's Museum has all of that and more! They will be open until noon on December 31, closing immediately after the confetti celebration at noon. This event is free to attend with admission, admission ranges from $12-16 and should be purchased at the door.

NYE Party with DJ D-Rok
Tuesday, December 31 | 9:30PM - 2AM
On New Year's Eve, BrewTop will be open from 11AM to 2AM. DJ D-Rok will kick off the NYE Party at 9:30 PM! Bring some friends and indulge in great drinks, food and live music as you enter 2025.
Pistol Annie's 2nd Annual NYE Bash
Tuesday, December 31 | 7PM - 2AM
Are you ready to boot-scootin' boogie? If so, get gussied up for Pistol Annie's 2nd Annual New Year's Eve Bash at Guitars and Cadillacs! Doors open at 7PM for early entry and 8PM for general admission. Isaac Cole, a talented Nashville band, will be performing starting at 8:30PM, followed by a costume contest and free champagne toast! Tickets range between $25-40 and should be purchased ahead of time online.
Camelot Ballroom's New Year's Eve
Tuesday, December 31 | 7:30PM - 12AM
If you're looking for a night of dancing, then Camelot Ballroom is your best bet! Tickets for their New Year's Eve Gala are $60 each and include: dinner, coffee, tea, soft drinks, dancing, party favors, floor shows and a midnight champagne toast. The KC Variety Band will be performing live music all night long. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 913-897-4622 or 913-867-9555.
New Year's Eve at Uptown Theater
Tuesday, December 31 | 8PM - 1AM
Get ready for an amazing New Year’s Eve at The Uptown Theater! You won’t want to miss the special main stage drag show featuring incredible performances by Luna Flare, Korakkay, Minti Varieties, Karmella Uchawi, DJ Rico, EV and more. The Valentine Room will be transformed into a craft beer lounge, offering a variety of brews to sample. The venue will also have five open bars and two photo booths for the event. Tickets start at $70 per person and can be purchased online.
New Year's Eve with the Sons of Antioch
Tuesday, December 31 | 9PM - 1AM
Do you love classic rock? Head to The Kingdom Bar and Grille for a night of live music by Sons of Antioch. Their New Year's Eve Party kicks off at 9PM. There is a $5 cover for the evening, but you're sure to get your money's worth in classic rock hits.
If none of these events are up your alley, consider visiting a holiday pop up or viewing one of the several holiday light shows. No matter what you do, you're sure to make the most of the last night of the year if you spend it in Overland Park!
