Midwest Trust Center
The Midwest Trust Center on the Johnson County Community College campus includes the 1,300-seat capacity Yardley Hall and the Polsky Theatre, which can seat 440 concertgoers. Among the performing arts venue’s live music offerings are touring concerts, musicals, chamber ensembles, a jazz festival, and much more.
Guitars and Cadillacs
Known as Kansas City’s original country music venue since 1988, Guitars and Cadillacs opened this 10,000-square-foot Overland Park venue in 2022. They host concerts every week and national acts throughout the year. Discover local and regional bands each Friday and Saturday night, plus DJ music and dance lessons on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
VIVO KC
VIVO KC considers itself “The People's Venue” and delivers a stellar lineup of live music spanning all genres. VIVO can accommodate around 200 concert-goers and has a corner stage, a large dance floor, plus a full bar and seating.
Theatre
New Theatre & Restaurant
The New Theatre & Restaurant delivers five full, live-stage productions yearly, including musicals. The modern stadium-table theater has more than 600 seats at tables for two, four, and six guests. Tickets include a gourmet buffet served before the show as well as options for wine, beer, specialty cocktails, and dessert.

The Brew Top
You’ll find live music most Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights at The Brew Top, one of many Overland Park bars with live music, plus enjoy pub grub and a large beer selection.
Barley’s Kitchen + Tap
Barley’s Kitchen + Tap, where they’ve served 99 craft beers on draft since 1995, is also known for featuring a rotation of local Kansas City musicians on Wednesday and Friday nights.
Aubrey Vineyards
Enjoy a Napa-like wine tasting experience at this vineyard and tasting room in southern Overland Park. More than 15 wines are available for tastings or by the glass, and you can pair the experience with acoustic music on Thursday nights at Aubrey Vineyards.

Outdoor Music Spots
Thompson Park
The downtown performance stage at Thompson Park hosts programs by the Overland Park Civic Band and Overland Park Orchestra as well as a free summer concert series with a lineup that covers multiple genres. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets when attending a concert at the 4.8-acre community park that also features restrooms, an outdoor grilling area and picnic tables, a playground area, and more.
Prairiefire District
Several restaurants and attractions at this shopping, dining, and entertainment district feature live music weekly—head to Wine Bunker and Veritas Whiskey & Wine on Tuesday and Rock & Brews and Pinstripes Bowling Bocce Bistro on Wednesday. Prairiefire also hosts free outdoor concerts by Kansas City bands every Thursday from May to September. Listen from restaurant patios or enjoy the tunes from a rocking chair in the district’s outdoor living room.
