And we love it. Golf on vacation? A big yes, but finding great public courses can be difficult. Luckily, in Overland Park you can find several non-members-only courses to enjoy and challenge your game.
Sykes/ Lady Overland Park Golf Club
A beautiful park-like setting with 27 regulation golf holes that accommodates skill levels from “beer me” to “green jacket,” and has an additional challenging 9-hole, par 3 course. Golfers (and non-golfers) can break for food and drinks at the Club 27 Restaurant’s big patio while taking in gorgeous views of the course. There’s also a driving range, and chipping and putting greens to practice your swing, and of course a full-service pro shop to keep you looking the part.
St. Andrews Golf Club
St. Andrews is one of the most popular choices among locals. The 18-hole golf course brings Ozark vibes with tree-lined scenery and five sets of tees. It has a driving range with extended hours, chipping and putting greens and of course a pro shop full of the finest gear and apparel. Golfers can also wet their whistle with pub style food and drinks at the Greenside Grill.
Topgolf
While this isn't a full golf course experience, Topgolf is a great place for any skill level to have a great golf game. Bring the kids or just come to get a few practice swings in. TopGolf has a full restaurant menu and a full bar -- both are full service at your bay. Topgolf is also a great place to go when it's too hot or too cold for the golf clubs. It's always a comfortable temperature with full heaters in the winter and plenty of cool air circling the 3-tier entertainment complex.
Craft Putt
It's Overland Park's happy place! Craft Putt is a locally-owned mini golf taphouse/ The 9,000 square foot space features a custom design 10-hole indoor mini golf course, 24 local beers on tap, handcrafted cocktails, deluxe handheld food bites, and one-of-a-kind mini golf themed games. It's a great rainy day date place! Or bring the kids too -- the course is easy enough for kids too.
