CPKC Stadium
Overview
10 months into owning a professional women’s soccer team, KC Current Co-Owners Angie Long, Chris Long and Brittany Mahomes would make one of the biggest announcements in the history of the sport. On Oct. 26, 2021, they announced a privately-funded soccer-specific stadium at Berkley Riverfront Park, set to be the first soccer stadium purpose-built for a women’s professional sports team in the world. The Kansas City Current has an unwavering commitment to become the best women’s football club in the world. Through brave actions, they are raising the bar for players, fans and the community. CPKC donates $1,000 for each goal scored by the Kansas City Current. Last year, after KC Current set a league record for goals scored, $60,000 was raised and donated to the Adelaide C. Ward Women’s Heart Health Center. You’ll see CPKC out in the community as well, promoting heart health awareness or hosting CPR trainings for fans on matchday.
