Indian Creek Bike and Hike Trail
Overview
Part of the 570-mile long American Discovery Trail in Kansas, the Indian Creek Trail will have you following in the footsteps of pioneers and Great Plains Indian Tribes from the past. The paved trail is approximately 10 feet wide with mile markers every half mile so you can mark your progress. As you explore, look for trail markers and interpretive panels that detail the history that happened along the same paths during the days of westward expansion.
Overland Park’s 17-mile portion of the Indian Creek Trail winds through parks, woods, and along waterways, making it perfect for biking, jogging, or a peaceful walk with the family (including leashed dogs!).
Trailheads are located throughout the city, offering convenient entry points for a quick run or a full-day ride. A popular section of the trail is located in Corporate Woods Founders Park at 9300 Indian Creek Parkway, perfect for parking the car and hopping straight on the trail.
Lace up your sneakers or hop on your bike—Indian Creek Trail is ready when you are.
