Overview
ABOUT KIYOSHI OMAKASE:
At Kiyoshi Omakase, dining is a live event. The chef performs each course at the counter selecting premium seasonal fish, slicing with precision, and torching with care.
Omakase means "I'll leave it up to you." At Kiyoshi Omakase, the chef decides what you eat. Surrender your choices and embark on a multi-course journey through the finest seasonal ingredients.
Each seating features a unique progression of 12–18 courses, ensuring no two visits are the same.
The restaurant only has eight seats, so reservations are required and can be made online. The omakase experience is $98 per person for a 12-18 course omakase progression with an A5 Wagyu beef course, Foie gras specialty dish, black truffle featured course, premium caviar selection, and a full live chef performance.
THE CHEF:
Chef Jerry Cao is a highl.y experience sushi master with over 18 years of training, including work in renowned New York sushi establishments. He is formally trained in the art of Edomae sushi — the traditional Tokyo-style preparation that emphasizes the relationship between chef, ingredient, and guest.
THE FOOD:
Kiyoshi's commitment to quality begins at the source. They partner with trusted suppliers from Tokyo's Toyosu Market, as well as premium fisheries around the world, to procure the finest seasonal fish available. Whether it's Hokkaido uni, wild-caught bluefin tuna, or live kuruma ebi, every ingredient is selected with one goal: to deliver the most authentic and extraordinary omakase experience in Overland Park and the greater Kansas City area.
