Museum at Prairiefire
Overview
The Museum at Prairiefire blends science, natural history, and hands-on fun into one unforgettable experience for curious minds of all ages.
Did you know the first Tyrannosaurus rex fossil ever discovered was by a boy from Kansas? Learn all about it as you explore the paleontology galleries, complete with pterosaurs in the sky.
On the second level, kids love the Discovery Room, where they can get hands-on with activities in zoology, geology, anthropology, and more. From digging into fossils to exploring the stars, every exhibit invites you to jump in and explore.
There's even more to explore outside. The Wetlands Park at Prairiefire lets you experience a native Kansas landscape that provides natural habitat for wildlife including herons, tortoises, butterflies and more.
And stay tuned! The College Baseball Hall of Fame is coming to the Museum at Prairiefire.
