Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art
Overview
Presenting 16 exhibitions per year and featuring works of international, national and regional artists, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art is truly an Overland Park gem. From the moment you walk in, you'll be captivated by the Museum's understated, yet architecturally powerful design. A must-see piece displayed on the top level of the Museum is Some/One by Do-Ho Suh. The captivating sculpture is a larger than life metallic military jacket covered with 3000 misprinted dog tags. There are many other permanent and temporary pieces to view during your visit and docents are available for free tours. Located on the campus of Johnson County Community College. Free admission, closed on Mondays.
