Luminary Walk

Kick off your holiday season with a festive family walk through the holiday glow at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens! Take a stroll through the quiet woods lit with candles lining the walkways. The trees, buildings and bridges are all part of the show with thousands of lights aglow. The Children’s Gardens are bright with color with perfect photo opportunities for the family. Enjoy musical performances spaced throughout the woods and then visit with Santa in his Woodland Depot. The Luminary Walk is a ticketed event that runs several weekends through the holidays.

The Candlelight Stroll is a unique opportunity for adults to enjoy the quiet and serenity of the Arboretum after dark for one night only. The Candlelight Stroll is for those looking for a quieter Luminary Walk that still features the glow of candles through the woods, dazzling light displays, live musical performances –  all without children. It’s the ideal wintry date night – or "friends night out" – that is more peaceful than the exuberant family-fun atmosphere of the traditional Friday and Saturday night Luminary Walks. In addition, there is wine and a hot adult beverage to enhance your leisurely walk through the magical gardens (must be 21 to purchase alcohol).
