Just in time for America’s 250th anniversary, the Johnson County Museum is opening a new temporary exhibit which explores this national moment and the meaning of democracy through the lens of life in Johnson County.
“Everyday Democracy: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness in Johnson County” opens Feb. 7, and will run through Jan. 9, 2027. Visitors are invited to reflect on what democracy means for them today, and for the generations to come.
Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
