Juneteenth at Prairiefire

Overview

Everyone is welcomed to attend the fifth annual Juneteenth Event @ Prairefire on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

7:30 a.m. - 5K June Freedom Run

9:30 a.m. - Juneteenth Parade

10:30a.m. - 1:00p.m. - Family friendly fun events including:

• Face painting
• Petting Zoo
• Balloon artist
• Obstacle courses
• Bounce House
• Give-aways
• Vendors
• Singers
• Drill Teams

This event will bring both an awareness and a celebration to the Overland Park area. The purpose for this event focuses on three main areas: Unity, Education and Celebration.

1. Unity - To bridge many cultures, backgrounds, languages, races, and differences together to celebrate our one human race, while also acknowledging and celebrating our differences

2. Education - To educate on the history of Juneteenth

3. Celebration - To celebrate our continued growth, strength, and progress we make as we march forward in unity.
