Karen Putman Smoking & Grilling Small Plates BBQ Competition

Overview

On behalf of the Greater Kansas City Chef’s Association, we would like to invite you to attend the annual KAREN PUTMAN Smoking & Grilling Small Plates BBQ Competition. This will take place on SEPTEMBER 15th, 2026, at the Culinary Arts Center at Johnson County Community College.

Local chefs will be competing in a small plates competition featuring Summer Grilling & Smoking Menus in memory of our friend and colleague, Karen Putman.

We are asking you to lend us a hand by donating items of merchandise, gift baskets, gift certificates/cards, etc. All money raised will be used towards the Karen Putman Memorial Scholarship Fund here in Kansas City to support a Student Chef at JCCC. Your tax-deductible gift would greatly be appreciated.
