Thompson Park
Overview
Thompson Park is Downtown Overland Park’s backyard. This 4.8-acre green space is perfect for a quick break or a full afternoon of fun. Nestled between Santa Fe Drive and Overland Park Drive, it’s a local favorite spot to relax, play, and spend time outside.
With picnic tables, clean restrooms, shady shelters, and even an outdoor workspace with free Wi-Fi if you’re sneaking in some emails, there's something for everyone to appreciate.
Kids love the playground, packed with fun ways to crawl, climb, and swing. In summer, the free splashpad cranks up the fun!
Don’t miss the Summer Concert Series either when live music takes over the stage every second Thursday of the month.
