Trick or Treat in Downtown OP
Get ready to BOO-gie at Trick or Treat in Downtown OP! On Saturday, October 25 from 1 to 3 PM, kids are invited to show off their best costumes and collect sweet treats from participating local shops. This free, family-friendly event is the perfect way for little ones to enjoy some Halloween fun while exploring the bustling streets of Downtown Overland Park. Don’t forget to stop by the Clock Tower Plaza, where a DJ will be spinning a "Monster Mash" soundtrack to keep everyone dancing and in the spooky spirit!
Night Of The Living Farm
Bring the whole family to Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead for Night of the Living Farm on October 17, 18, 24 and 25 from 5:30 to 9 PM. Offering a mix of spooky and not-so-spooky fun for all ages, the event will offer kids the opportunity to watch mad scientist experiments, roast marshmallows, get their fortune read, and experience scary and fright-free hayrides. They can also compete in obstacle courses, pirate ship races and a flashlight scavenger hunt. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased here. Children 2 and under are free and don’t require a ticket.
Pumpkin Hollow
Mosey on down to Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead for Pumpkin Hollow all October long! Bring the whole family to explore the hay pyramid, giant slide, spider web maze, and enjoy other old-fashioned activities before picking your pumpkin to take home. This event runs on select dates October 1-26. Admission to the Farmstead is $5 for ages 3+, and Pumpkin Hollow tickets are an additional $10 per person and can be purchased here.
Night at the Arboretum
Celebrate Halloween with an evening at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens on October 21, where the gardens transform under the night sky. Families can stargaze through giant telescopes, discover nocturnal critters, and learn about constellations, all included with admission. Admission is $3 for ages 6-17, $7 for 18+, and free for ages 5 & under.
Live Pro Wrestling
Get ready for a high-energy night of wrestling as ACW Presents: Live Pro Wrestling at Guitars & Cadillacs on October 28 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. The event features former WWE superstars Enzo Amore and James Ellsworth, bringing big personalities and plenty of action to the ring. Plus, wear your best costume to be entered into the costume contest! This is a family-friendly event, so let the little ones tag along for an unforgettable night. Single general admission tickets start at $20 and can be purchased here.
Adults-Only Adventures
The New Theatre & Restaurant
For an evening of laughter and delicious food, head to the The New Theatre & Restaurant for Alone Together. Starring Barry Williams and Cathy Barnett, this Broadway comedy follows parents of three adult sons who have just sent their youngest off to college. They’re ready to enjoy life on their own again until each son unexpectedly moves back home! Tickets start at $44 and can be purchased here. The show runs September 10 through November 16. Children ages 7 and older are welcome to attend.
Haunted Glow Golf
Over at Craft Putt, they are flipping on the black lights, firing up the UV glow, and decking out the course with ghosts, ghouls, and glowing surprises! Haunted Glow Golf is happening on Friday, October 31 from 7 to 11 PM, so grab a friend and come play your way through their 10-hole course. Costumes are encouraged! This is a 21+ event and pricing is $6 per person.
Isaac Cole: Live from Nashville
Spend your Halloweekend with live country music at Guitars & Cadillacs. Headliner Isaac Cole, a former American Idol finalist and Nashville-based singer-songwriter, brings his impressive musicianship and heartfelt originals to the stage. Known for sharing the spotlight with Dolly Parton and opening for Drake White, Cole is an artist on the rise and ready to deliver a memorable night of music. Doors open on October 31 at 6 PM and the show starts at 8:30 PM. Cover is $10 for 21+ and $20 for ages 18-20.
A Nightmare on 91st Street: SERV Halloween
Get ready to let the boos and booze flow at SERV on October 31! A $40 general admission to A Nightmare on 91st Street ticket includes a drink package, live DJs to keep the night spooky, glow in the dark pickleball and a chance to enter a costume contest and win up to $1,500 in flight credit! Tickets are available for purchase online or at the door.
