There is so much happening under one roof that an entire day can fly by without even checking everything off the list.
La Fetta Delicatessen
14363 Metcalf Avenue
Not to brag, but we think we might have found the best sandwich in Overland Park and it's located at La Fetta Delicatessen. This neighborhood Italian-style deli opened in October and serves sandwiches made with locally-sourced meats, produce, and house-made sauces + fresh bread baked daily. There are 19 sandwiches on the menu, all named after rock n roll legends. You’ll also find tons of imported Italian goods like pasta, sauces, olive oils, and everything you need to make a deluxe charcuterie board in their retail section.

Slow Rise Doughnuts

After building a cult-like following one farmers' market at a time, Slow Rise has officially began developing their brick and mortar store in Overland Park! They create sourdough-based donuts with crisp edges, pillowy centers, and fillings that change with the seasons. Each batch is fermented for up to 72 hours, giving every bite a subtle tang that sets them apart from other sourdough based sweets. Although an opening date has not been released, they're aiming for the storefront to open sometime this year.

Toastique, the health-conscious café chain known for its gourmet breakfast dishes, is set to open its first Kansas City-area location in Corbin Park in South OP. Local diners and visitors have something new to look forward to as Yard House plans a location in the mixed-use development coming to Central OP. The restaurant will serve classic American fare and draft beers. Construction is underway with an anticipated arrival in late 2026, meaning Overland Park’s food scene will soon have a new locally-loved spot for dinner and drinks.
