What’s the only thing nicer than making your holiday list and checking it twice? Shopping Overland Park boutiques and checking off your list with unique, stylish gifts while also supporting small businesses.

Perhaps you’re visiting friends and family in Overland Park as the holiday season arrives. Well, you’re in luck, because the city is home to a bounty of boutiques filled with gifts perfect for all the ladies in your life!

My daughter and I recently popped into five Overland Park boutiques and picked our favorite gifts to give and receive this holiday season. Shop along with us, and be inspired!

FitWear Boutique: Gifts for the Trendsetter

Our first stop was FitWear Boutique at Prairiefire. The boutique’s motto is Work Out. Go Out. – catering to all the casual cool girls. It’s as if FitWear’s owner reached inside our heads and picked out all the things we love, some of which we didn’t know we needed. But hey, now Santa is going to hear about it! Shopping for a teen daughter or trendy girlfriend? This boutique is the hype.

FitWear makes it super simple to give this holiday season with curated gift boxes ranging in price from $85 to $200. Package themes include gratitude, spa chic, lounge, cocktails, out-of-office, infuse, pickleball and tennis. We love the game night set, classic family games revived with pretty vintage boxes and colors.

Whether you’re dressing for a workout, relaxation or an evening out, FitWear carries a nice selection of designer brands including Mayfair, Spiritual Gangster, Z Supply and FP Movement. My daughter loved the Journey track pant and jacket in pink sky and I’m making the red FP Movement beanie part of my winter uniform.

For a unique gift that shows how well you know your girlfriends, shop FitWear’s build-your-own enamel necklace bar with an array of customizable charms.

The boutique offers free gift wrapping, Black Friday specials and private shopping events that enable you to gather with your best girls and shop for a cause as a way to give back this holiday season.

Threshing Bee: Something for Everyone

Next, we stopped at Threshing Bee in Prairiefire – home to four boutiques in one and a one-stop-shop for all the fashionistas on your list.

The Bee is home to Adorn, Bleu, 1KC and Chic, and each distinct area of the store has its own vibe. For all the Kansas City fans in your life, shop 1KC for unique gameday tees, beaded bag straps, clutches and statement earrings. And I had my eye on several dresses at Chic perfect for holiday parties.

Whether you’re getting ready for gameday or for a festive holiday night out, Threshing Bee, is the place to be!

Made in KC

We strolled over to Made in KC at Prairiefire, where our mouths were watering at all the locally-made culinary delights.

If you’re shopping for a foodie or looking to take a taste of Kansas City back home with you, this is the place. Pick up rubs and sauces from Q39, Arthur Bryant’s or Jack Stack Barbecue to take home grilling and smoking to the next level.

I like to DIY a little sweet and spicy gift basket with gourmet confections from local chocolatier Christopher Elbow, Kansas City Canning Co. Everything Chili Crunch and a KC ornament. You could also make it super easy on yourself and choose from MIKC’s premade gift boxes featuring snack essentials, gameday treats, local wellness items and more! Gift boxes range in price from A Little Taste of KC at $29 to A Deluxe Best of KC at $119.

For non-edible gifts, I like the idea of selecting a pretty branded concrete tray and pairing it with a natural, organic skincare set from SKiN, both from Made in KC.

Amelia’s Boutique

Next, we hopped in the car and made the short drive over to Amelia’s Boutique

Immediately, the first thing that stood out to me at Amelia’s was the rich colors and textures of all clothing! For an upscale yet casual holiday outfit that pops, pair a brightly colored silky blouse with some jeans or leggings and one of the many pairs of boots, and you’re all set!

In addition to outfitting us all for the holidays and KC games, Amelia’s has a nice assortment of holiday hostess gift items, serving ware and barware.

We picked up some festive re-usable holiday cups and a candle. We also liked the idea of gifting luxurious smelling shower steamers by Chez Gagné.

Native Seed Boutique

For the final stop on our holiday boutique tour, we stopped by Native Seed Boutique, tucked away in a quaint little shopping center in Stanley Square

Right away, we were drawn to the accessory trees adorned with a variety of jewelry, claw clips and large satin bows – perfect for pairing with your holiday look or for gifting.

Native Seed has all the fangirls covered for the holidays! Get game day ready with Chiefs, Hawks and Wildcats looks conveniently color-sorted.

Looking to make your holiday look a little sleeker? Layer with your favorite shapewear staples from Spanx available at Native Seed.
