It’s the perfect photo opp. The Vineyard Tasting Room offers 15 well-crafted wines that are available for tastings or by the glass. You can choose between three to five tastings (go for the five). Aubrey Vineyards also offers a hand-selected gourmet charcuterie menu of sharable meats, cheeses, crackers, hummus, and nuts. Then go pick your favorite spot on their very-Instagrammable patio.
This isn’t your regular nail salon, although they do offer manicures and pedicures. The Paint Nail Bar is completely odorless, no harsh chemicals in any of their products (including the nail polish) and it’s pleasantly serene due to no jets in their pedicure tubs. The chairs are custom-made pieces of furniture for you and your girlfriends to really relax. Paint Nail Bar prides itself on being engaged with their customers. The staff is ready and waiting to laugh it up about your husband losing his mind with the kids at home.
It’s obvious Overland Park is far from any ocean but it’s right in the middle of the sea-salt air. Lounge in a beach-like ambience with your girlfriends in the salt therapy room. This room creates a stress-free environment by releasing microscopic salt particles that you breathe in. The effects of salt therapy on your sinuses, skin and lungs is more effective from what you might experience on the beach. Your skin will thank you.
Head over to Prairiefire and you’ll find Threshing Bee. This boutique is actually seven boutiques in one. Buy some Kansas City gear (and don’t feel weird – locals wear Kansas City shirts regularly). Find a cute top or awesome yoga pants at one of the boutiques. Or maybe find the perfect necklace and doggie shirt for your pup at home. Hey, they have it all. And it’s definitely worth bringing your girlfriends’ for their honest opinions too. If they say get the dress, get the dress.

Night cap it with I am Frozen Dessert Café. It was picked by the editors of People magazine’s “Top 10 Ice Cream Shops in the U.S.” and there’s a reason why. It’s unique. The owner was inspired by her trips to Thailand to bring her culture’s sweet treats to the United States – to Overland Park, more specifically. You need to try the signature honey toast paired with shaved ice cream. People magazine said you must! Just don’t show your kids your photos when you get home and you’re golden.
