Walking in, I was immediately hit with a delicious aroma. I couldn't help but yell out, "It smells SO good in here!"
Right after, a customer came in behind me and joked, "Can you guys bundle this smell up in a candle?" And I totally get why.
The bakery was bustling with both regulars and first-timers, all trying to decide what to grab from the wide array of mouthwatering treats.
What I love about Upper Crust is that it’s not just your average pie shop.
They offer an impressive selection, including whole 9-inch pies and their adorable 5-inch "cutie pies" that are perfect for those who want to indulge without going overboard.
But it’s not just about pies – there are cookies, macarons, quiches, and even home goods that are perfect for holiday gifting.
As a sucker for cozy kitchen accessories, I couldn't leave without a few beautifully folded Geometry towels (because who doesn't need something stylish and practical for the holidays? They'd also make a great hostess gift... just saying).
After about 20 minutes of agonizing over all the choices, I finally decided to go with a few sweet options: the classic apple pie, the indulgent German chocolate pie (which I’m planning to freeze for Thanksgiving, even though they did warn me it won’t be quite as good after freezing – I’ll take my chances), and last but definitely not least, a coconut custard cutie pie.
Let me tell you – that coconut custard cutie pie was amazing. So amazing, in fact, that I’m already thinking about heading back tomorrow for another one. The flavors were so rich and smooth, and the balance of sweetness was just perfect.
