Central Overland Park
The Big Biscuit
The Big Biscuit began in the Kansas City area and has quickly grown into a regional favorite, now with two locations in Overland Park. The concept is simple: comfort food, made from scratch, and portions that are unapologetically generous. The menu is stacked with both classics and creative twists. While the fluffy biscuits are the namesake, it’s the cinnamon roll pancake that often steals the show: a plate-sized swirl of warm cinnamon sugar topped with icing that feels equal parts breakfast and dessert.
McLain's Market
A Kansas City tradition for decades, McLain's Market is a go-to for fresh pastries, craft coffee, and delicious breakfast & brunch. The cinnamon rolls are famous for good reason, but the menu also delivers on the savory side with burritos, scrambles, and creative toasts that draw just as much attention. Don't leave without grabbing a sweet treat from the pastry case.
Shack Breakfast & Lunch
Another top contendor is Shack Breakfast & Lunch. The menu is packed with comfort food favorites, but let’s be honest... the Bloody Marys are what get people talking. They come piled high with toppings and basically double as a starter before your actual meal. Pair one with a skillet or a stack of pancakes and you’ve got the ultimate weekend brunch lineup. The vibe is fun, a little cheeky, and exactly the place you’d want to gather with friends when you’re not in a hurry to leave.

They serve gourmet pancakes, like Fred's Hawaiian Pancakes or the Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes. Craving something savory? Urban Egg has a variety of delicious egg dishes, including breakfast tacos, protein bowls, and benedicts. Be sure to check out their “Breakfast Buzz” menu for breakfast cocktails. Our favorite is the Morning Margarita, made with orange juice, tequila, and sweet and sour mix.
Firebirds Wood Fired Grill

Snooze An A.M. Eatery
Another great location in South Overland Park is Snooze An A.M. Eatery. It has an energetic atmosphere and is open every day of the week to meet your brunch needs. We recommend grabbing something on their seasonal menu including their freshly-squeezed juices or full brunch plates which always offer something different.
