Indian Creek Hike and Bike Trail
Part of the 570-mile long American Discovery Trail, the Indian Creek Hike and Bike Trail is approximately 10 feet wide with mile markers every half mile. Overland Park’s 17-mile portion of the trail winds through parks, woods, and along waterways, making it perfect for biking, jogging, or a peaceful walk with your furry friend. Just be sure to keep them on a leash!
Thomas S. Stoll Memorial Park
Thomas S. Stoll Memorial Park features a picturesque walking trail, picnic shelter, playground, a small pond, and two areas designed specifically for your dog: a 7-acre, fenced off-leash area for big dogs and a 1/3-acre off-leash area for small dogs (25 pounds or 14 inches tall and under).
Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens
Did you know that the Overland Park Arboretum allows dogs? It's true! Dogs are welcome but are restricted to the mulch paths or the International Sculpture Trail around the pavilion. They also must be on a leash.
Prairiefire District
Among the shops and restaurants, Prairiefire has dog-friendly water stations sprinkled throughout the walkable streets. There is a 1.5 mile hike and bike trail surrounding Prairiefire and its wetlands, suitable for an easy walk or run.
